Parental Alienation Syndrome

November 15, 2009

Parental Alienation Syndrome is a very serious and devastating condition that can arise as a result of divorce. It typically occurs when one parent manipulates the children into thinking the other parent is the enemy.  Financial advisors who deal with divorce should be aware of this condition and be able to make appropriate professional referrals when they see it.

But advisors should also be cautious when approached by P.A.S. “experts” looking for sponsorships in exchange for referrals, as happened recently to an ACA member, or others using suspect approaches to try and cash in on the condition.

  • Make some cash and make a difference

    February 01, 2012
