The article "Securing Guaranteed Retirement Income" by Sarah Morgan explores how annuities can benefit retirees, the complexity of the product may be causing a lack of demand for them. ACA member John Scherer notes that, "annuities’ drawbacks include a lack of inflation protection and a lack of flexibility if a retiree’s circumstances change dramatically due to illness or another major upheaval."

It's so easy to become overwhelmed by the bombardment of bad news we see every day, and feel as if the little we can do can't possibly make a difference. Socially responsible investing, or SRI for short, is all about making money while making a difference.
